Meadowbrooke has a training option for you and your dog, whether he's a new puppy or
an active participant in obedience trial competition.
We like to think of it as dog sense common sense with an
intuition for the canine spirit. Our trainers speak 'dog language'. You'll see
that when you take lessons with us. Training is not just for the dog, its something that both you and
your dog learn together. Having a well-behaved dog is one of the most rewarding aspects of
the human-canine relationship.
Training options
 |
Level I class (formerly called 'Puppy Class') gives you guidance during the most impressionable (and
sometimes the most difficult) stage of a dogs life. Also recommended for
adult dogs, as an introduction to obedience. Basics of dog language,
encouraging teamwork in a secure and comfortable learning experience. 3
weeks, an hour each week, $50. |
 |
Level II class builds on the fundamental skills in Level I. We cover
Sit, Heel, Stay, Down, Stand, Leave It, and Come. Helps build confidence by
positive motivational techniques. No dog is too old to learn! 4 weeks, an
hour each week, $60. |
 | Private lessons are available according to your own unique
requirements. Maybe our class times are inconvenient for
you. Maybe your dog requires special handling or you don't want him socializing
with other dogs or people while you're training him. Perhaps you're looking for
competition lessons. We can arrange sessions where it's
just you, your dog, and our trainer at times that fit into your busy schedule. |
 |
In-house training ('boarding school')
provides an environment for your dog that you may not be able to provide
at home. When a dog stays with us, we can train at frequent intervals for
short periods of time. For problem behavior, this yields impressive results.
Getting a dog away from his regular home (and away from those inevitable
distractions) enables him to concentrate on the training and break bad
habits. Boarding, feed, exercise, a training collar and lead are all
included in the price, in addition to the multiple lessons for his human
family at the end of his stay. |

If your dog:
 | pulls you around on his leash |
 | cant be trusted around children |
 | is overly noisy, shy, or aggressive |
 | needs housebreaking |
 | cant Come, Sit, Stay, or Heel |
we can help!
