To get to Meadowbrooke Kennel and the Agility Center of East TN,
PLEASE NOTE: During the closing of I-40 in downtown Knoxville (May, 2008 thru July, 2009), it is not possible to use Exit 394 when going eastward on I-40. Take I-640 instead and follow the directions below. From I-40 / Nashville: Take Exit 394 and turn left onto 11E (Asheville Highway). Go to the second traffic light (you will have just crossed over the Holston River bridge when you see the second traffic light) and turn right onto 168 West (John Sevier Highway). Go 1.8 miles and turn right onto Holston River Rd. Go about 1/2 mile and look for the big "Meadowbrooke Kennel" sign on the right. From I-40 / Asheville: Take Exit 398 and turn left onto Strawberry Plains Pike. Go under the Interstate, through the traffic lights, and continue for about 3 miles until you come to the next traffic light (John Sevier Hwy). Go straight through that intersection (on the other side, there's a new gas station and convenience store, Mr. Zip, on the right) and continue to the second road on the right, Holston River Road. Turn right, go about 1/2 mile and look for the big "Meadowbrooke Kennel" sign on the left. From Alcoa Highway (129): Take John Sevier Highway (168 East) and go about 10 miles until you pass through the Forks of the River area. Keep going, cross the railroad tracks, and at the next traffic light (Mr. Zip store on the opposite corner), turn left on Strawberry Plains Pike. Go about 1/4 mile, to the second road on the right, Holston River Rd. Turn right, go about 1/2 mile and look for the big "Meadowbrooke Kennel" sign on the left. |
