MASTER CLASSFor beginners, please see PRIVATE LESSONS section below. Master Classes are available to small groups wishing to practice competition level skills together. $20 per team. |
AGILITY 'PARTIES' (AND SHOW & GO'S!)No formal instruction, just agility people and their dogs getting together and sharing time on ACET's equipment. $5/dog. Spend time with other agility enthusiasts and work at your own speed. Instructor(s) will not necessarily be available during Parties. If present, they may be there as fellow partiers, training their own dogs alongside other participants. Please RSVP before attending. Raising or lowering of contact obstacles should be done CAREFULLY! Course re-design is encouraged, but please don't move the dogwalk. SHOW & GO'S To be followed on some weekends by Show & Go's, for trial-like courses and atmosphere. Nested courses for all levels of difficulty. $10 for 3 runs! If you help build courses (at the end of the party) or work during the event itself, you get 3 runs for free!! |
PRIVATE LESSONSIndividual attention, whether your goals are to simply have fun with your dog in your own back yard, or to compete at the highest levels of the sport. Lessons are available for all participants, from beginners through advanced levels. $36/hour. Private and shared private lessons (4 dogs maximum) are available on a flexible schedule. Emphasis on positive motivation to get your dog started correctly. Fundamentals of agility obstacle training and an introduction to all aspects of the sport. Uses low-stress techniques and elementary equipment to help build your dog's confidence. Learn to work as a team and to communicate effectively with your dog off-lead. Increase the number of obstacles your dog can perform in sequence. Build reliability on each obstacle. Develop control at a distance. Solve problems encountered at trials.
